At the Young Mind’s Movement, we truly believe that whole foods are fuel for both the body and mind. As a result, we are excited to partner with Holistic Nutritionist, Joanne Makwana for the Mindful Eating Program. In addition to being a nutritionist, Joanne is a mom, co-host of the Tipping Point Nutrition Podcast, writer, public speaker, healthy living educator and co-founder of Tipping Point Nutrition.
With a passion for learning, Joanne teaches a variety of group programs, classes and workshops to not only help educate people on the power of food, but also bring to light the many environmental factors affecting our health today.
Joanne will use her experience with working of clients of all ages to contribute guest content to the Mindful Eating Program. She’ll help to generate awareness as to how students’ every day food choices can affect their mood and emotions, while contributing to common problems such as anxiety and depression.
Prevention is of utmost importance and so many of our communities can benefit from more information around healthy food and lifestyle choices. As a result, Joanne is available for teaching workshops around Mindful Eating and other topics related to healthy living.
